Email¶
Reading, triaging, composing and organising email.
Q: How do I get an overview of all my emails?
A: Email opens on Priorities, which shows only the mail that needs you, grouped into Chased, Upcoming, Decisions and Priority Contacts, with a summary at the top. The Flow and Inbox tabs alongside it give you one-at-a-time triage and the full list. See Your Email Priorities Screen for full details.
Q: How do I triage emails quickly without scrolling through a list?
A: Use the Flow tab: a swipeable mode that shows one email at a time so you can action each and move on. At the bottom of each email you'll find Archive and Mark as Unread buttons. To work through just your priority mail instead, use Priority Email Flow from the Priorities screen. See Triaging Emails with Email Flow for the full walkthrough.
Q: How do I open and read an email?
A: Tap any email on the Inbox tab to open it in Email Detail view. Scroll to read the full message; attachments appear below the body. Opening from Inbox marks it as read, but opening a priority email from the Priorities tab deliberately does not, so the email stays put and offers you a next step when you come back. See Reading an Email.
Q: How do I archive an email?
A: In Email Flow, tap the Archive button in the footer to file the current email. From the Email Detail view, you can also archive via the action menu. Archive removes the email from your active inbox without deleting it. See Archiving Emails and Marking as Unread.
Q: How do I mark an email as unread?
A: In Email Flow, tap Mark as Unread in the footer. In Email Detail, open the action menu and tap Mark as Unread: you'll be taken back to the inbox with the email restored as unread. See Archiving Emails and Marking as Unread.
Q: How do I reply to an email?
A: Open the email in Email Detail, tap the action menu, and choose Reply (to the sender only) or Reply All (to everyone on the thread). The Draft screen opens with the original quoted below, type your response and tap Send. See Replying to and Forwarding Emails.
Q: How do I forward an email?
A: Open the email in Email Detail, tap the action menu, and choose Forward. If the email has attachments you'll be asked whether to include them. Add your recipient and any message, then tap Send. See Replying to and Forwarding Emails.
Q: How do I assign a category to an email?
A: Open the email in Email Detail, tap the action menu, and select Category. Choose a category from the modal that appears. Categories are your own filing, separate from the priority groups Warp works out. See Organising Emails with Categories.
Q: How do I send a quick AI reply with a specific tone?
A: Tap Quick Respond from the email action menu (lightning bolt icon). Choose a tone, Appreciative, Professional, Diplomatic, Confident, or Concise: and the AI drafts a reply for you. Review it in the Draft screen, edit if needed, and send. See Quick Respond.
Q: How do I compose a new email?
A: Tap the Add button (+) from the Home screen, or use the compose option from the email area. Fill in the To, Subject, and body fields in the Draft screen, then tap Send. See Composing a New Email for tips on attachments and multi-account sending.
Q: How do I get AI to write my email for me?
A: In the Draft screen, tap the warpSpeed Eye icon and select Draft Email Assistant. The AI generates a complete email body based on your subject and any context you've added. Review and edit the draft before sending. See AI Draft Assistant.
Q: How do I change the tone of my email with AI?
A: In the Draft screen, tap the warpSpeed Eye and choose Tone Change. Select from five tones: Appreciative, Professional, Diplomatic, Confident, or Concise. The AI rewrites your email in that style, use Rewind to undo if needed. See Tone Change & Rewrite.
Q: How do I rewrite my email with AI?
A: In the Draft screen, tap the warpSpeed Eye and choose Rewrite. The AI produces a fresh version of your email body. A Rewind button appears so you can restore your original at any time. See Tone Change & Rewrite.
Q: How do I check my email for spelling and grammar mistakes?
A: In the Draft screen, tap the warpSpeed Eye and choose Proofread. The AI checks your email and lists suggestions you can accept or skip. If nothing is found, you'll see "No suggestions found." See Proofreading an Email.
Q: How do I schedule an email to send later?
A: In the Draft screen, tap Schedule instead of Send. Pick your date and time and confirm. The email queues in your Drafts and sends automatically at the chosen time. See Scheduling an Email.
Q: How do I connect another email account?
A: Go to User Centre → Integrated services, tap the provider you want to add, and follow the sign-in steps. Once connected, it is included in All inboxes and can be picked on its own from the inbox selector. See Managing Multiple Email Accounts.
Q: How do I filter my emails to find a specific one?
A: Tap the filter icon in any email list. Use options like Date Range, Has Attachments, Email Status, or Tags to narrow results. Combine filters for precision. See Filtering and Searching Emails.
Q: What do Chased, Upcoming, Decisions and Priority Contacts mean?
A: They are the four groups Warp sorts your priority mail into: Chased is where someone is waiting on you, Upcoming is where something happens on a date soon, Decisions is where you have been asked to choose or approve, and Priority Contacts is mail from people you have marked as priorities. See Your Email Priorities Screen.
Q: Why does an email stay unread after I have opened it from Priorities?
A: That is deliberate. Marking it read would drop it out of its group before you had decided what to do with it, so instead the email stays put and its card offers you reply, snooze or archive when you come back. See Replying to a Priority Email.
Q: Can I make an email come back later?
A: Yes. Choose Snooze on a priority email and pick Later today, This evening, Tomorrow morning or This weekend. It leaves your Priorities screen and returns at that time, without changing the email itself. See Snoozing a Priority Email.
Q: Why is there already a reply written when I open the composer?
A: For priority mail that needs an answer, Warp drafts a first reply ahead of you asking. It is a starting point to edit, not a finished message, so read it before sending. See Replying to a Priority Email.
Q: How do I add a task or calendar event that an email is asking for?
A: Priority emails show suggestions underneath them. Tap Add as task or Add as event and it is created for you. Nothing is created unless you tap. See Turning an Email into a Task or Event.
Q: Why does an old email never appear in my priorities?
A: Warp only works out priorities for mail received in the last month. Older mail is still in your Inbox tab and searchable, it just carries no priority information. See Your Email Priorities Screen.
Q: Do the email screens show all my accounts at once?
A: Yes, they open on All inboxes. To narrow to one account, tap the inbox button at the top left and pick it; the choice carries across the Priorities, Flow and Inbox tabs. See Managing Multiple Email Accounts.
