Snoozing a Priority Email

What it does

Snoozing takes an email off your Priorities screen and brings it back at a time you choose. Use it when you have read something, know it needs you, and know it is not going to happen right now. It is a way of clearing the screen honestly, rather than archiving something you have not actually dealt with.

How to use it

  1. Open Priorities and find the email, either in its group or after reading it.
  2. Choose Snooze.
  3. Pick when you want it back:
  4. Later today, about three hours from now.
  5. This evening, 6:00 PM.
  6. Tomorrow morning, 8:00 AM.
  7. This weekend, Saturday at 9:00 AM.
  8. The email leaves the list and the group's count drops. At the time you picked, it returns to Priorities.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Snoozing does not touch the email itself. It stays unread in your mailbox, and anyone looking at your inbox from another mail app will see no change.
  • The totals on your Home screen drop too, since Home and Priorities count the same emails.
  • Snoozes are kept on your device and clear themselves when the time comes. Refreshing the screen will not bring a snoozed email back early.
  • If you want an email gone rather than delayed, archive it instead.
