Triaging Emails with Email Flow¶
What it does¶
Email Flow is a swipeable triage mode that presents your emails one at a time, letting you move through your inbox at speed without the clutter of a traditional list. Each email fills the screen; you action it and move on.
How to use it¶
- Open Email, then tap the Flow tab at the top of the screen.
- Your first unread email opens full-screen. Read its contents directly on screen.
- Use the action buttons (floating on the right side of the screen) to action the email:
- Forward: passes the email on to someone else.
- Reply: opens a compose window addressed to the sender.
- Delete: removes the email.
- Report as Spam: marks the email as spam (alert-circle icon).
- When you're done with the email, tap Archive (bottom-left footer button) to file it away, or Mark as Unread (bottom-right footer button) to flag it for later.
- The next email in your inbox loads automatically. Continue until your inbox is clear.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Use Archive for emails you've dealt with and don't need to revisit. Use Mark as Unread when you want to come back to something later; it stays in your inbox looking fresh.
- If you receive an email with attachments and choose to Forward it, you'll be asked whether to include the attachments. You can choose to include or exclude them at that point.
- You can drop out of Email Flow at any time by tapping the back arrow.
