Adding a Location to an Event¶
What it does¶
The Location field on a calendar event stores the venue, address, or place where the event is being held. The location is visible to all guests, helps the AI generate more relevant event descriptions, and can feed into travel-time awareness features.
How to use it¶
- In the Create/Edit Event screen, tap the Location field.
- Type a venue name or address.
- Select the correct result from the search suggestions.
- The location is confirmed and displays on the event.
- Tap Save on the event to confirm.
Where location appears¶
- Event detail view: location is shown as a tappable field. Tapping it opens the address in your maps app.
- Event description AI: when generating a description, the AI uses the location for context (e.g. including travel or venue notes).
- Guest invites: guests see the location on their invite so they can navigate directly.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- For virtual meetings, use the Description to add a meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams URL) rather than the Location field, unless your organisation's calendar integration supports online meeting fields directly.
- To remove a location, tap the ✕ on the location chip after it's been added.
