Writing an Event Description¶
What it does¶
The Description field on a calendar event holds notes, agendas, links, or any context about the event. It supports rich text formatting and an AI generation feature that writes the description from the event's title, time, and location.
How to use it¶
Typing a description¶
- In the Create/Edit Event screen, tap the Description field.
- The placeholder reads: "Write a description, or tap the warpSpeed icon to let AI complete one for you."
- Type your content. The editor supports:
- Bold (B)
- Italic (I)
- Underline (U)
- Unordered list (bullet points)
- Ordered list (numbered list)
- Link (insert a hyperlink; opens a link modal)
- Tap outside the field or tap Save on the event to save.
Generating a description with AI¶
- Ensure the event has a Title (the AI uses this as the primary prompt). Adding a Location and Start Date/Time improves the result.
- Tap the warpSpeed Eye icon in the description toolbar (leftmost icon).
- If no title is set, you'll see an error: "Please add event title to complete description!"
- If a title exists, the AI generates and inserts a description. A loading animation plays while it works.
- Edit the generated text as needed.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Links in the description are tappable in read-only event view, useful for joining links, reference docs, or meeting notes URLs.
- The AI description generator uses the event's title, location, start time, and end time for context, fill those in first.
- Keep agendas in the Description so invitees can see them when viewing the event on their own device.
