Turning an Email into a Task or Event¶
What it does¶
When an email commits you to something, Warp pulls it out for you. A priority email that asks you to do something shows a suggested task underneath it; one that mentions a date shows a suggested event. You do not ask for this, and nothing is created until you say so.
How to use it¶
- Open Priorities and open a group.
- Look under an email for a suggestion.
- To create the task, tap Add as task. A message confirms it, with a View option that opens the new task.
- To create the event, tap Add as event. A message confirms it, again with View.
- If you do nothing, nothing is created. The suggestion is only an offer.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Add as event needs a connected calendar. If you have not connected one, you are told so and offered a shortcut to Integrated services to connect one.
- The task or event is created from what the email said, so check the details afterwards if the email was vague. Everything is editable once created.
- If creating it fails, the message tells you why rather than failing silently.
- Suggestions only appear on priority emails, and only on mail from the last month, because that is as far back as Warp reads.
