Viewing Sources for a Warp Response

What it does

When Warp answers using your own content, it can show you what it drew on, so you can check it and jump straight to the original.

How to use it

  1. Ask something that requires Warp to look in your data, for example "Find the last email from Alex about the project budget" or "Summarise my last three meeting notes."
  2. When the answer arrives, look for the Sources button below it, or for citation links inside the text itself.
  3. Tap either to open the Sources screen.
  4. Each source is a card showing what Warp referenced: an email subject, a note title, a date.
  5. Tap a card to open the original record.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Sources only appears when Warp actually cited your content. A general question like "What is inbox zero?" has nothing to cite, so no button appears. That is not a fault.
  • Check the sources whenever an answer is going into something that matters. Warp summarises well, but the original is the thing you are accountable for.
  • Citations inside the answer text go to the same place as the Sources button, so you can jump from the specific claim rather than the whole answer.
