Your Email Priorities Screen¶
What it does¶
Priorities is where Email opens. Instead of showing you everything that arrived, it shows the mail that actually wants something from you, sorted into four groups and summarised in a sentence at the top. Warp does the sorting as your mail syncs, so the screen is already up to date when you open it.
How to use it¶
- Open Email from the Tools menu, or tap any email entry point in the app. You land on Priorities.
- Read the summary at the top. It tells you how many emails need attention and calls out the names and dates that matter.
- Below the summary are four cards, one per group:
- Chased, where someone is waiting on a reply from you.
- Upcoming, where something is happening on a date soon.
- Decisions, where you have been asked to choose or approve something.
- Priority Contacts, mail from the people you have marked as priorities.
- Each card shows how many unread emails it holds, along with counts of anything Warp pulled out of them: urgent items, tasks, events and replies needed.
- Tap a card to open it. It lists the emails inside, each with the sender, a one-line summary of what it wants, and an urgency label of Urgent, High, Normal or Low.
- Tap an email to read it. Tap the card's heading to work through that whole group one email at a time.
Working across several inboxes¶
Priorities opens on All inboxes, so everything on the screen covers every email account you have connected. To narrow it to one account, tap the inbox button at the top left and pick the account you want. That choice carries across the Priorities, Flow and Inbox tabs.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- The three tabs at the top switch between Priorities, Flow and Inbox. Priorities is the summary, Flow deals with mail one message at a time, and Inbox is the full list.
- Opening an email from Priorities does not mark it as read. That is deliberate: it keeps the email on the screen so that when you come back, the card offers you the next step.
- If a group holds more than five emails, tap Show more to reveal the rest.
- Pull down to refresh if you think something has just arrived.
- Warp only works out priorities for mail received in the last month, so an older email will not appear here even if it is unread.
- If nothing needs you, the screen says so. That is the goal, not an error.
