Creating a Calendar Event¶
What it does¶
Create a new calendar event from the Calendar tab or via the global Add button. Events can have a title, date and time, description, location, guests, recurring schedule, colour, reminders, tags, and more.
How to use it¶
- Tap the Add button (+) in the bottom tab bar, or, from within the Calendar tab, tap the Add icon in the top navigation.
- The Create Event screen opens.
- The only required field is the Title. Fill in any other details as needed:
| Section | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Title | Event name (required) |
| Calendar | Which connected calendar to save the event to |
| Timeline | Start date, start time, end date, end time, all-day toggle, timezones |
| Recurrence | How often the event repeats (Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly / Custom) |
| Description | Notes or agenda, supports rich text and AI generation |
| Location | A place or address |
| Guests | Invite people by name or email |
| Priority | High / Medium / Low |
| Reminders | Push notification triggers before the event |
| Colour | Visual colour label for the event block |
| Tags | Keyword labels |
| Attachments | Files, photos, audio |
| Confidential | Marks the event private |
| Lock | Prevents others from editing |
- Tap Save to create the event. It appears on your calendar immediately.
Choosing a calendar¶
If you have multiple connected accounts, a Calendar selector appears at the top. Tap it to choose which calendar (and account) this event belongs to. Each calendar has its own colour indicator.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Events can be created by Warp, say "Schedule a team meeting for tomorrow at 2pm" and it handles the create flow.
- If you tap a time slot in Day or Week view, the new event screen opens pre-filled with that time, faster than setting the timeline manually.
- New events default to the next 30-minute mark from the current time and run for 60 minutes.
