Swipe Actions on Notes¶
What it does¶
Swipe left or right on a note card to reveal quick actions. The available actions change depending on the note's current state and which view you're in.
How to use it¶
- Swipe right on a note card to reveal the left-side action button. The label changes by context:
- Normal note → Pin
- Pinned note → Unpin
- Archived note (in any view) → Unarchive
- Note in Bin view → Restore
- Tap the revealed button to perform the action.
- Swipe left on any note card to reveal the trash icon on the right side.
- Tap the trash icon to delete the note. Deletion behaviour varies by view:
| View | Left-swipe action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Normal notes list | Trash icon | Soft-delete, note moves to Bin |
| Archive view | Trash icon | Soft-delete, note moves to Bin |
| Bin view | Trash icon | Permanent delete: confirmation dialog appears |
- In Bin view, swiping left triggers a confirmation dialog: "Are you sure you want to delete this? Once notes are permanently deleted you cannot recover." Tap Delete to confirm.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Swipe actions are the fastest way to pin/unpin or delete a note without opening it.
- To bulk-delete, bulk-archive, or bulk-restore multiple notes, use multi-select mode (long-press any note) instead of individual swipes.
