Talking to Warp with Voice Input¶
What it does¶
Voice input lets you dictate instead of typing. Your speech is transcribed into the composer, where you can read it back and fix anything before sending.
How to use it¶
- Open Ask Warp.
- With the composer empty, tap the microphone button.
- It changes to a Stop button while it is listening.
- Speak. Your words appear in the composer as you go.
- Tap Stop when you have finished.
- Read the transcription, edit anything it got wrong, then send.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Speak at a natural pace. Dictation copes better with normal speech than with slow over-enunciation.
- The microphone only shows while the composer is empty. Once you start typing it becomes the send button; clear the field to get the microphone back.
- Dictation is a good fit for long, rambling context you would not bother typing, since you can tidy the text before sending.
