Sorting and Filtering Tasks

What it does

The Sort & Filter panel lets you reorder your task list and narrow it down by criteria, due date, date range, assigned member, or tags. Sorting and filtering apply within whichever view you're currently in (To Do List, All Tasks, etc.).

How to use it

  1. From any task list view, tap the Filter icon (funnel/filter icon), typically in the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. The Sort & Filter panel opens. Configure any combination of options:

Sort Task

Reorders tasks in the current view. Options: - Due Date: earliest due date first. - Alphabetically: A → Z by task title. - Date Created: most recently created tasks first.

Due Date

Filter to show only tasks due on a specific date.

Date Range

Filter to show tasks whose due date falls within a start and end date you specify. Useful for weekly or monthly reviews.

Task Member

Filter by assignee; shows only tasks assigned to a specific person. Useful for managers or shared task lists.

Tags

Filter by one or more tags; shows only tasks that carry the selected tag(s).

  1. Tap Apply (or equivalent) to apply your settings.
  2. To clear filters, tap Reset or remove each filter individually.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Filters and sort options stack: you can sort by Due Date and also filter by a Tag at the same time.
  • The Date Range filter is particularly useful for sprint or week reviews, set Monday to Friday to see only this week's tasks.
  • Filtering by Task Member lets you do quick stand-ups: "what is [person] working on right now?"
  • Filters persist while you stay in the current view. Switching views (e.g. from To Do List to All Tasks) may reset filters, verify with the team.
