Connecting and Inviting Non-warpSpeed Contacts

What it does

Contacts from your synced address books who are not yet on warpSpeed appear as non-WS contacts. You can send them an invitation to join warpSpeed via email or phone. Once they join and connect, they appear as a full WS contact with shared features (chat, task assignment, event invites, email compose, and shared history).

How to use it

  1. On the Contacts list, find a non-WS contact (they appear without a warpSpeed indicator and show a Connect button).
  2. Tap the Connect button on their card.
  3. warpSpeed fetches the contact's details and your available email accounts.
  4. An invite method picker appears, choose to send the invitation via Email or Phone.
  5. If the contact has multiple emails or phone numbers, a selection screen lets you choose which to use.
  6. Confirm to send the invitation. The contact receives a message from you inviting them to join warpSpeed.

After the invitee joins: - They appear as a WS contact in your list. - Full features become available: direct chat, task assignment, event guest invites, email compose from contact, Recent Events & Tasks.

No email account connected: "No email account found; You haven't added any email account yet."

⚠️ Verification needed: exact copy of the invitation message sent to the invitee, and whether invite status (pending/accepted) is visible in the app.

Tips & shortcuts

  • You can invite via either email or phone, use email for more reliable delivery if the contact checks email regularly.
  • Once an invite is sent, there is currently no visible pending status in the app to track whether it has been accepted.
