Note Colour¶
What it does¶
Each note can be assigned one of 11 colours. The colour is shown as the note card's background in the list, plus a coloured left-edge stripe. Pinned notes without a colour use a light purple background.
How to use it¶
- Open a note in the editor.
- Tap the colour circle in the toolbar (rightmost control before the keyboard-hide button).
- The colour picker opens.
- Tap a colour to apply it. The note background and toolbar circle update immediately.
- The note auto-saves with the new colour.
- To remove a colour, open the picker and select the default (no colour / white) option.
Available colours:
| Colour name | Description |
|---|---|
| Aqua Mist | Soft teal/cyan |
| Powder Blue | Light lavender-blue |
| Pale Honey | Light cream-yellow |
| Fresh Mint | Light mint green |
| Rose Petal | Light lavender-pink |
| Lavender Haze | Light lavender-purple |
| Cloud Blue | Light sky blue |
| Frosted Gray | Light grey-blue |
| Peach Cream | Light peach |
| Silver Haze | Light blue-grey |
| Coral Whisper | Light rose-pink |
Each colour also has a matching darker stroke colour shown as the left-edge stripe on note cards in the list.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Use colours to visually group notes by topic or project, e.g. blue for work, green for personal.
- Pinned notes show a light purple background by default when no colour is set, applying any colour overrides this.
- To clear a note's colour, select the default option (white) in the colour picker.
