Archiving a Note¶
What it does¶
Archiving removes a note from the main list without deleting it. Archived notes are stored in the Archive view and can be restored at any time. Use it to keep your notes list clean without permanently losing anything.
How to use it¶
Archive a note: 1. Open the note in the editor. 2. Tap ⋯ (top-right) → Archive. 3. The note is removed from the current view and moved to Archive.
For bulk archive: long-press any note → select multiple notes → tap the archive icon in the selection toolbar.
View archived notes: 4. On the Notes list, tap ⋯ → Archived to switch to the Archive view (heading "Archive" appears above the list). 5. Return to all notes via ⋯ → All Notes.
Unarchive a note: 6. In Archive view, swipe right on the note → tap Unarchive. 7. Or open the archived note → tap ⋯ → Unarchive.
For bulk unarchive: in Archive view, enter multi-select, select notes, tap the unarchive icon in the selection toolbar.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Archive notes you've finished with but may need later; it keeps the main list focused without permanently losing anything.
- Archiving is not available as a swipe action from the main notes list, use ⋯ → Archive from inside the note, or multi-select.
- In Archive view, swiping left deletes the note (soft-delete to Bin), not permanently.
