Recurring Events

What it does

Recurring events repeat on a schedule, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or a custom pattern. When you edit or delete a recurring event, warpSpeed asks which occurrences to affect.

How to use it

Set up recurrence when creating or editing an event: 1. Open the Recurrence field (labelled "Does not repeat (default)" until a pattern is chosen). 2. Select a recurrence option:

Option Repeats
Does not repeat (default) One-time event (no recurrence)
Daily Every day
Weekly Every week on the same day
Monthly Every month on the same date
Yearly Every year on the same date
Custom Opens the custom recurrence builder
  1. If you select Custom, the Custom Recurrence Options screen opens. Configure:
  2. Frequency (every N days / weeks / months / years)
  3. Count (after N occurrences) or Until (a specific end date)
  4. Day-of-week selection for weekly recurrences The custom rule is stored in iCalendar RRULE format and displays as human-readable text in the dropdown (e.g. "every 2 weeks on Monday").
  5. Tap Save on the event to apply recurrence.

Edit a recurring event: 5. Tap a recurring event to open it, then tap Edit (pencil icon, top-right). 6. Make your changes and tap Save. 7. A modal appears: "Which events do you want to edit?", select: - This Event: edits only this occurrence. - Following Events: edits this occurrence and all future ones. - All Events: edits every occurrence in the series. 8. Tap Save to confirm.

Delete a recurring event: 9. Open the recurring event's detail screen and tap the ⋯ icon (top-right). 10. Tap Delete Event. 11. An alert appears: "Do you want to delete this event or all recurring events?", select: - Delete This Event: removes only this occurrence. - Delete All Recurring Events: removes the entire series. - Cancel: no action taken.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Use Weekly recurrence for standup meetings, team check-ins, and fixed weekly commitments.
  • Use Following Events when a meeting time changes permanently from a certain date; it leaves past occurrences intact.
  • If a recurring event was shared with guests, editing scope affects all invitees on those occurrences.
