Training Your Assistant by Typing¶
What it does¶
If you'd rather type than speak, toggle the keyboard in AI Training to send written messages. Three conversation starters also provide pre-written openers to kick off a topic when you're not sure what to share first.
How to use it¶
Enabling the keyboard¶
- Open the AI Training screen.
- Tap the keyboard icon in the top-right corner of the screen to toggle the text input on.
- A text input field appears at the bottom of the screen (placeholder: "Aa") with a green Send button (paper-plane icon).
- Tap the keyboard icon again to hide the input.
Sending a typed message¶
- Tap the text input and type your message.
- Tap the green Send button (or use the keyboard's return key) to send.
- Your message appears in the conversation thread and warpSpeed responds.
Using conversation starters¶
The AI Training entry screen (shown when you haven't started a conversation yet) provides three prompt cards under the CONVERSATION STARTER label:
| Card | Icon | Pre-fills the input with |
|---|---|---|
| Preferences | ⚖️ | "I prefer responses that are..." |
| Professional or personal | 🎯 | "My long term goals are" |
| Likes or dislikes | 👍 | "On my weekends, I like to..." |
- Tap a starter card.
- The keyboard toggles on and the input is pre-filled with the starter prompt.
- Complete the sentence and tap Send.
Switching between voice and typing¶
You can mix both in one session, type a few messages, then tap the mic button to switch to voice for a longer ramble, then go back to typing. All messages appear in the same conversation thread.
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Use conversation starters if you're not sure what to share; they prompt the most useful types of information for the AI to learn from.
- The text input auto-focuses when toggled on, so you can start typing immediately without tapping the field.
- Tap the keyboard icon to hide the input when you want to scroll back up through your conversation.
