Adding Guests to an Event

What it does

The Guests section lets you add people to a calendar event. Guests receive an invite notification and can RSVP (Accept, Decline, or Tentative). Their response status is visible to the event organiser.

How to use it

Adding guests

  1. In the Create/Edit Event screen, tap the Guests field.
  2. Search for a person by name or type their email address.
  3. Tap a result to add them as a guest.
  4. Repeat to add multiple guests.
  5. Tap Save on the event. Guests are notified automatically.

Guest response statuses

After an invite is sent, each guest shows one of three statuses:

Status Meaning
ACCEPTED Guest confirmed attendance
DECLINED Guest declined the invite
INVITED No response yet (invite pending)

Attendance mode

When RSVPing, guests can also specify how they'll attend: - In Person: attending physically. - Virtual: attending remotely / online.

Who can add or remove guests?

The event owner (creator) can add and remove guests. Guests cannot edit the guest list unless they have been given admin access to the event.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Guests with a DECLINED or INVITED (no response) status show with a slightly faded event block on the calendar, useful for spotting non-confirmed attendees at a glance.
  • To notify guests of a change (e.g. time update), edit the event and ensure Send Notification is enabled before saving.
  • Guests outside of warpSpeed receive standard calendar invites (iCal format) to their email client.
