Labels and Priority Contacts

What it does

Priority lets you star important contacts for quick filtering. Labels are custom group names you assign to contacts (e.g. Team, Clients, Family) to organise and filter your list. Both are managed from the contact form and are visible in the contacts list and on the Contact Details screen.

How to use it

Mark a contact as a Priority: 1. Open the contact form (create or edit). 2. Find the Mark as Priority row (star icon + toggle switch). 3. Toggle the switch on; the star turns gold. 4. Tap Save. 5. To unmark: tap the gold star icon on the contact card in the list. 6. To view only priority contacts: on the Contacts list, tap the Priority filter chip. Under the All filter they are also grouped into their own Priority section at the top.

Add a label to a contact: 7. Open the contact form (create or edit). 8. Find the Labels section under Contact Info. 9. Tap to add a label, enter a display name (e.g. Team). 10. Add multiple labels if needed. Tap Save. 11. Labels appear as bordered pill chips on the Contact Details screen.

Filter contacts by label: 12. On the Contacts list, tap the Labels filter chip; a dropdown lists all your labels. 13. Tap a label to show only contacts with that label. The chip shows the active label name (highlighted green).

Tips & shortcuts

  • Priority and Labels can be combined; a contact can be a Priority and have multiple labels.
  • Label colours exist in the data model for future use; currently all labels display as plain bordered chips.
  • Tapping the gold star on a contact card in the list immediately removes their Priority status, no confirmation required.
