Today's Schedule on Home

What it does

Today's schedule shows the events you have today, soonest first, and tells you how long until each one starts. It is a read-only view of your calendar: everything here comes from the calendars you have connected.

How to use it

  1. All-day items sit in a single slot at the top. If you have more than one, the slot cycles through them.
  2. Timed events follow, earliest first, three at a time. Use the paging controls below the list to see the rest.
  3. Each row tells you when it is: Happening now for something in progress, or a countdown like In 25 min or In 2 hr 10 min.
  4. Tap a row to open the event in the calendar.
  5. Tap View all at the top right to open the calendar itself.

What is shown and what is not

  • Events you declined are left out. If you said no, it is not part of your day.
  • Tentative events are shown, but look different from confirmed ones, so a maybe does not read as a commitment.
  • A timed event stays until it ends, then drops off the list.
  • All-day events stay all day, in their slot at the top.

When today is done

Once nothing is left, the section does not go blank. It shows That's it for today with "You're on top of today's schedule.", followed by Coming up next: the next three things in your calendar, whichever day they fall on. All-day items for today stay where they are.

If you have no calendar connected

You will see Connect your calendar with "See your meetings and everything planned for your day." That prompt appears only when no calendar is connected. If you have one connected and simply nothing on, you see Your schedule is clear with "Nothing planned. Tap to add an event." instead. A free day is never mistaken for a missing calendar.

Tips & shortcuts

  • The countdowns update once a minute on their own, so an event ticking over to Happening now changes in front of you.
  • An all-day event you do not care about can be dismissed from the slot. See Hiding Items on Home.
  • If the section says Couldn't load your schedule, tap it to try again.
