Replying to a Priority Email

What it does

For priority mail that needs an answer, Warp writes a first draft of your reply before you ask. When you tap reply, the composer opens with that draft already in it, so you are editing rather than starting from nothing.

How to use it

  1. Open Priorities and find the email.
  2. Tap reply. The composer opens with the suggested reply already written.
  3. Edit it as much or as little as you like, then send.

What happens after you read an email

Opening a priority email from the Priorities screen does not mark it read. When you come back, that email's card offers you the next step directly: reply, snooze it for later, or archive it. Pick one, or dismiss the prompt to leave the email as it is.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Not every priority email gets a suggested reply. Where there is none, the composer opens empty and the usual AI writing tools are still there under the warpSpeed Eye.
  • The draft is a starting point, not a send-ready message. Read it before sending, particularly where it commits you to anything.
  • Replies go to the address the sender asked to be replied to, which is not always the address you can see in the From line.
  • If you are on All inboxes, the reply is sent from the account the email arrived at, not from whichever account you happened to be looking at.
