Contacts¶
Finding, editing and grouping the people you work with.
Q: How do I find a contact quickly?
A: Use the alphabetical scroll bar on the right edge of the Contacts list to jump to any letter, or tap the search icon in the header and type a name. You can also use the Priority or Labels filter chips to narrow the list. See Contacts Overview.
Q: How do I create a new contact?
A: Tap the new contact button on the Contacts screen. Fill in at minimum a First Name, then add phone numbers, emails, addresses, labels, birthday, and notes as needed. Tap Save (green button, top-right) to save. See Creating and Editing a Contact.
Q: How do I call or text a contact?
A: Open the contact's profile, find the Phone section, and tap a number row to expand it. Tap the call icon to open the device dialler, SMS to open the Messages app, or Copy to copy the number. See Phone Actions.
Q: How do I email a contact from their profile?
A: Open the contact, find the Email section, and tap an email row to expand it. Tap the mail icon to open a new draft pre-addressed to that contact. Requires a connected email account. See Email Actions from a Contact.
Q: How do I create a task or event from a contact?
A: Open the contact, expand an email address row in the Email section, and tap Task or Event. A new task or event opens with that contact pre-filled as the assignee or guest. These options only appear for email addresses linked to a warpSpeed user. See Email Actions from a Contact.
Q: How do I open a contact's address in Maps?
A: Open the contact, find the Address section, expand an address row, and tap the location/map pin icon. The device's native Maps app opens with the address. See Address Actions.
Q: How do I mark a contact as a priority?
A: Open or edit the contact and toggle Mark as Priority on (star icon + toggle switch). Priority contacts appear with a gold star on their card, are grouped at the top of the list under All, and can be filtered via the Priority chip. See Labels and Priority Contacts.
Q: Why does my contact show a red warning icon?
A: The red alert icon means warpSpeed has detected a duplicate contact: the same person appearing from more than one connected account. Open the contact to see the duplicate warning and choose Edit & Merge (manually merge fields) or Keep All Contacts (dismiss the alert). See Duplicate Contacts.
Q: How do I see recent events or tasks shared with a contact?
A: Open the contact's profile and scroll to the Events & Tasks section. Tap Recent Events or Recent Tasks to expand and load the list. Tap any item to open it directly. See Recent Events & Tasks.
