Marking a Task as Done¶
What it does¶
Every task has a To Do / Done status. Toggling the checkbox on a task marks it complete and moves it out of your active task views. Completed tasks are preserved in the Completed view so you have a full history of your work.
How to use it¶
Marking a task done from the task list¶
- In your task list, find the task you want to complete.
- Tap the checkbox on the left side of the task card.
- The task status changes from TODO to DONE. The task moves to the Completed view.
Marking a task done from task detail¶
- Open the task by tapping on it.
- In the Basic Info section, tap the checkbox next to the task title.
- Status changes to DONE. Navigate back to see the task removed from your active list.
Undoing a completion¶
- Open the Completed view (via the Customise Task List side panel).
- Find the task and tap the checkbox again to toggle it back to TODO.
- The task returns to its original position in To Do List / All Tasks.
How completion interacts with other views¶
| Status | Visible in |
|---|---|
| TODO | To Do List, All Tasks, High Priority (if priority set), Overdue, Due Today, Tomorrow's Tasks |
| DONE | Completed view only |
Tips & shortcuts¶
- Completed tasks are never automatically deleted: they stay in Completed until you archive or delete them.
- If a task was marked complete by mistake, find it in the Completed view and tap the checkbox to restore it.
- The Swipe Actions shortcut also lets you quickly archive or delete completed tasks from the list, see Swipe Actions.
